Does car paint change color?

I recently got my car repainted after a hit and run accident. They said the paint color would be 98% close to the original color. I got the car back yesterday and my hood and bumper are a completely different color than the rest of my car. I have a burgundy car and the hood and bumper are cherry red. I took my car back immediately and the guy there told me that the color will eventually match the rest of your car in two months. I don't know if I should even believe him and ask him to repaint it the right color for no charge. So my question is, does car paint color change its shade?
