Cleaning under the hood of a car?

What's the best way to clean under the hood of a car? I wanted my motor to look alittle presentable as well without having to take it out. Like cleaning the top of the block. It's not to bad right now but I just want to keep up with it. Reason I'm asking is the car is a 91 Z28, so I only want the best for it.
